For bold leaders.
And the ones who need to be.

Brooksmiths was founded in 2006 by Danielle Brooks.— known to friends, family and some clients as Dani — coach, systemic practitioner, and supervisor. Based in Dorset UK, working globally.

Over two decades on, the practice works with leaders and organisations across sectors. Whilst Danielle remains at the heart of Brooksmiths, the practice draws on a trusted network of exceptional coaches when the work calls for it.

Meet Danielle

Brilliant, bold, or bloody difficult - sometimes Danielle's clients are all three. She's the coach leaders call when the stakes are high and politics are complex.

An executive coach, systemic practitioner, and coach supervisor with over two decades of experience working at the sharp end of leadership.

With a background in commercial media and broadcasting, Danielle brings a systemic lens to every engagement — attuned to hidden loyalties, unexpressed tensions, and the structural dynamics that shape how people show up. She spends a lot of her time working with leaders when things get complicated… organisationally, politically, or personally.

For Danielle, messy is where the magic happens - creating the conditions for meaningful change without flinching when things get real. She doesn't do off-the-shelf. Her coaching is tailored, unvarnished, and deeply human.

Danielle has worked across sectors — from global pharma to professional services, creative industries to public sector. Previously one of only two Global Internal Coaches at GSK, she has also served as a trusted confidante to several long-term C-suite clients, and partners with emerging leaders to help them lead with greater depth and difference

Danielle's recent work includes supporting exec teams post-restructure, newly promoted MDs, siloed experts, senior women navigating power and stretch, and leaders whose behaviour undermines the culture they aim to build.

What’s in a name? Why “Brooksmiths”….

The art of smithing — taking raw materials and crafting them into something stronger, and of infinitely greater value.

That's the work. Not fixing what's broken. Forging what's possible.

Brooksmiths takes its name from its founder, Danielle Brooks — and from the craft of the smith: the one who works with what's already there, applies the right pressure, and creates something of far greater value.
